Why a quarter load varies by item

A quarter truckload is a space measurement, not a fixed number of bags or furniture pieces. Flattened boxes stack efficiently, while a large sofa or awkward exercise machine can occupy more space. Dense materials may reach weight limits before the truck fills.

Examples to show us

For a quarter-load estimate, photograph the entire group you want removed. Useful examples include an old chair, a small shelf and household boxes; broken-down furniture mixed with bagged household clutter; or garage shelving and loose items cleared from a storage corner.

These are examples of piles to assess, not guaranteed quarter-load combinations. Furniture dimensions, how items stack and their weight change the space required. Show bulky pieces separately and disclose dense debris or restricted materials. The crew confirms the load size and final price onsite before loading.

The standard quarter-load price and onsite review

JunkPDX’s standard quarter-load rate on its 14-foot truck is $325, subject to actual job conditions. Photograph the complete pile and unusually large pieces, then describe stairs and truck access. The final onsite estimate can differ from a photo range; you approve the price before loading.

Confirm the space, weight and final price

JunkPDX offers a free, no-obligation onsite estimate. Photos help with an initial range, but the final price depends on truck space, weight, access and any special handling. You approve the final price before loading begins. Same-day service depends on availability; the crew is closed Sundays.
