Photograph each room or pile from far enough back to show its size. For deep or stacked contents, add another angle from a safely accessible spot. Do not climb over clutter just to get a photo.

Identify items the camera cannot explain
List the contents of closed boxes where known, dense material, heavy furniture and anything hidden behind the first row. Describe moisture, pests, liquids or unusual conditions before the visit.

Show the complete carry path
Include stairs, landings, doorways, gates, elevators and the distance to legal truck parking. Note building loading hours or elevator reservations. An easy-looking pile can require a different plan when access is difficult.

A picture can support a rough range, but it may not show depth, weight or the carrying work. JunkPDX confirms the actual scope and final price during the free onsite estimate before loading.

Do I need to move everything to the driveway for photos?

No. Show the items where they are and photograph the route out. Tell the crew if you plan to move them before pickup, since the final location and access are part of the approved scope.

What if some boxes are closed or the pile hides furniture?

List the known contents and hidden pieces in your message. Include approximate dimensions when useful. Leave unknown liquids or potentially restricted material separate for review rather than treating every box as ordinary household junk.

What if I cannot safely take photos?

Do not climb, lift heavy pieces or enter an unsafe area for a picture. Describe the project and known access concerns when requesting the free in-person estimate. The team can review what information is needed before the visit.
