JunkPDX can carry approved furniture, boxes and unwanted belongings out of your Portland basement, load them and haul them away. You can clear one storage area or include the basement in a larger house cleanout. Leave heavy pieces in place; you do not need to bring everything upstairs first.

How much does a basement cleanout cost?

Small, straightforward pickups start at $120. Standard household-junk references are $325 for a quarter load, $575 for a half load and $995 for a full load, within material and weight limits. These are truck-space examples, not fixed prices for a basement. A packed space may need several loads.

Stairs, tight turns, heavy items, long carries, extra labor and special disposal can affect the total. Photos help with a preliminary range. The free onsite estimate reviews the actual items and access so you can approve the complete removal price before loading.

Do I need to carry junk upstairs?

No. We review the carrying route and include approved carrying work in the quote. Show the stairs, doorways, low ceilings and route to truck parking. An outside basement entrance can also be included in the access plan. Leave large furniture and equipment where they are until the crew reviews them.

Safes, pianos, exercise equipment and other unusually heavy pieces need individual review. Some items require equipment or a specialist beyond ordinary hauling. Send photos and any known dimensions or weights before the visit.

What stays and what goes?

Mark the furniture, boxes and shelving you want removed. Keep documents, photographs, valuables, medications and undecided belongings outside the approved scope. One authorized contact approves the items and price; the crew follows those decisions.

You do not have to empty the entire basement. For a partial pickup, identify the selected area and anything blocking access. For several rooms, an attic or a garage as well, use the house cleanout service so the estimate covers the whole job.

What needs a separate review?

Tell us about standing water, significant mold, sewage, pests, unstable flooring or unknown building materials before scheduling. Do not disturb questionable material. Ordinary hauling does not include regulated remediation or repair work.

Paint, fuel, chemicals, batteries and unknown containers need separate review. Check accepted items and restrictions before mixing them into the removal pile.

What if I am keeping some belongings?

Separate retained items from junk. Moving belongings to another home or a storage unit is a different service from disposal. If you need both, review moving labor and junk removal and agree on the scope, vehicle arrangements and pricing for each.

Plan the cleanout around your deadline

Tell us when the space needs to be ready for a move, inspection, cleaners or another contractor. The two-hour appointment window is for arrival; completion time depends on the actual contents, access and number of loads. Confirm the work plan before arranging the next handoff.
