A truck arriving today and a property being empty before your deadline are two different requirements. If cleaners, movers or a key handoff depend on the removal, tell the crew when the work must be finished—not just when you would like them to arrive.

Work backward from the next appointment

Write down the handoff time, when the next vendor needs access and whether either appointment can move. A requested two-hour window is an arrival window. Loading time depends on the amount of material, stairs, elevator availability, parking and any dismantling approved in the scope. Ask the crew whether the complete job can fit before committing another vendor to a start time.

Match the deadline to the whole load

A few photographed pieces are easier to evaluate than an unreviewed whole-house cleanout. Include basements, storage areas and anything added after your first request. A truck may have an opening without enough remaining capacity for every item. For a larger house cleanout, ask whether multiple loads or visits are needed and which areas can be finished first.

Give the exact pieces, rooms and access details. Confirm with the property contact that the remaining work can wait; otherwise, discuss changing the next vendor's schedule. Keep items in an authorized location while timing is arranged.

Keep a buffer for access and approval
