The short answer: $120–$450 for basic pickups

Furniture removal and basic household junk removal typically cost $120–$450 with JunkPDX. Our minimum pickup is $120 before eligible discounts or credits. The price mainly depends on how much truck space your items use, with standard carrying, loading, hauling and disposal included.

These are JunkPDX planning prices for the Portland metro, from Vancouver to Woodburn. Larger cleanouts, unusual weight, difficult access and special disposal can cost more. Your onsite estimate is free, and you approve the complete price before loading.

Start with the kind of pickup you need

A couch pickup and a whole-property cleanout need different budgets. Find the closest starting point below, then include everything you want removed when requesting your estimate. These ranges describe typical work; they are not fixed quotes for every job.

Why item count alone does not tell you the price

Three small chairs may use less space than one large sectional. The room size is not the load size either: clearing one corner of a garage is different from emptying every shelf. Show the actual items rather than choosing a price from the number of rooms.

For a real example, our documented $120 minimum pickup included an outdoor mattress, bed base, headboard and frame pieces. That particular load fit along one side of the truck. Its photos help show the amount removed; they do not promise the same price for every bed pickup.

What can increase the total?

The same pile can require different work depending on where it sits. Tell us about stairs, long carries, tight turns, disassembly and unusually heavy pieces. Refrigerant appliances and some other materials have special disposal requirements. We include any added charges in the total you review before work.

Concrete, dirt, brick and similarly dense debris need a separate quote with safe-loading limits. Household-junk volume prices do not establish a dense-debris price. Identify these materials before combining them with an ordinary pickup.

Is $995 the most a cleanout can cost?

No. $995 is the base price for one full standard household-junk load. A quarter load is $325 and a half load is $575. A property that needs multiple loads, special handling or extra labor can cost more than one full-load price.

For a larger project, ask for the complete scope and total, including additional trips and the final partial load. Compare quotes using the same removal list and access details so each total describes the same work.

How can you keep the pickup within your budget?

Choose your priority items first. Ask the crew for the price of that group before adding the rest. If your pile changes after receiving a photo range, show the updated removal list before approving the onsite quote.

If accepted items are already easy to stage outside, review our curbside option. You can also check the current personal-account credit and its terms. Offers cannot be combined, and the standard minimum applies before an eligible offer. You can leave heavy furniture inside for full-service removal.

Can you get an exact price from photos?

Photos help us give a rough range. Include the full pile, a second angle showing its depth, your ZIP and the carrying route. Mention stairs, heavy items and any deadline. The crew confirms the complete onsite price before loading; you can decline the free estimate.

You do not need photos, an account, a card or a chosen truckload size to book an estimate. Pick an available Monday–Saturday time and show us what needs to go. Most standard pickups can be hauled during that visit after price approval; larger or specialty work needs a confirmed plan.
