Identify the machine and accessories
Photograph the mower, model label, catcher and attachments. Say whether it starts and rolls, and disclose a missing wheel or seized mechanism. A ride-on machine needs its own weight and access review rather than a standard small-item assumption.

Check reuse before disposal
A recipient needs an honest description of starting, cutting and battery performance. ReStore requires drained gas and oil for donated lawn equipment. Get the chosen recipient's preparation instructions and use appropriate service help instead of improvising fluid removal.

Keep fuels and batteries visible
Do not place fuel cans, spare oil or damaged batteries in the same bag as accessories. Follow manufacturer guidance for removable parts and ask the collector about a separate destination. Never pour unwanted fluids onto the ground or into a drain.

Plan the route from storage
Show the shed door, yard slope, gate and parking area. Tell the crew if it cannot roll or is buried under other equipment. Do not attempt makeshift loading ramps; agree on the handling plan before bringing the mower to the driveway.

Can garden tools be included?
Yes, list the tools and any chemicals separately for review. Ordinary hand tools do not make pesticides, fuel or pressurized containers part of the accepted scope.
