Protect borrowed and retained tools
Check rental labels, borrowed items and family keepsakes before clearing the workbench. Mark the tools leaving and move retained chargers, keys and accessories elsewhere. A whole-workshop photo is useful, but it should not replace an approved item list.

Build complete working sets
Pair a tool with its correct charger, attachments and manual when available. Note missing guards, failed switches or damaged cords. ReStore excludes power tools with frayed wiring and bad batteries; do not disguise those defects within a box of usable equipment.

Separate workshop materials
List paints, solvents, oils, adhesives and batteries independently. Keep sharp accessories identifiable and ask the collector how to contain them. Tool donation does not authorize placing every substance from the workshop into the same load.

Show anchors and weight
Photograph mounted saws, drill presses, benches and any floor attachments. Explain who will make equipment ready for removal. Request an estimate for the actual carry and loading needs instead of assuming a compact machine will be light enough for an ordinary hand carry.
What affects cost
No truck-size guess required.
You don’t need to choose a truck size. Show us what goes. We’ll measure the load. Descriptions and photos help us plan, but are not a final quote. Price depends on truck space, weight, access, labor and special disposal. You approve the total before loading.
Only with explicit acceptance from a recipient that wants it for that purpose. Otherwise ask about an appropriate recycling or disposal route.
Does pickup include removing a bolted workbench?
Describe the attachment and obtain a reviewed scope first. Installed equipment, electrical connections and property repairs should not be assumed part of simple haul-away.
