Separate sheets, blankets, towels, pillows and decorative fabric. Identify bed sizes and keep matching pieces together. Decide which spare set stays in the home before packing everything, especially when cleaning and moving dates are still ahead.

Look for stains, holes, dampness and persistent odors. Tell the recipient about wear rather than hiding a questionable piece in a clean set. Do not pack wet textiles into sealed bags while waiting for a donation decision.

Confirm the program's actual list
Community Warehouse lists sheets, pillowcases and towels among its household essentials. Ask about the specific type and condition you have. Oversized bedding, decorative items and pillows can require different decisions from ordinary bath towels.

Keep donations and disposal apart
Label accepted bags by contents and keep them dry until the arranged handoff. If a reuse program declines some pieces, ask for a suitable alternative rather than leaving them at its door. For a paid cleanout, identify textile volume separately from mattresses and furniture.
