Record whether it powers on, moves normally or has a known fault; do not run unsafe equipment to demonstrate it. Note missing guards, damaged cords, failed folding locks or unusual movement. A working-condition description helps a potential recipient decide whether further inspection is worthwhile.

Leave technical dismantling for review
Use the owner instructions for routine shutdown. Do not remove motors, disconnect internal wiring, release cable tension or split a weight stack. Folding is appropriate only when the machine is designed for it and the locking method is understood. Tell the crew if safe preparation requires specialist help.

Measure the actual exit route
