Set aside keepsakes, documents and sold items. Walk through each included room with the person approving the cleanout.

A complete project quote

How much does an estate cleanout cost in Portland?

Household contents are priced mainly by the truck space they use. These published rates are references for standard household junk in our box truck:

Standard household-junk load references
Load sizeBase price
Quarter load$325
Half load$575
Full load$995

A whole estate may need several loads, additional labor or special disposal. We review every included area and confirm the complete project price before loading. A partial final load uses its applicable volume tier.

Standard lifting, loading, hauling and disposal are included. Stairs, long carries, unusually heavy items and special materials may add charges, which we explain before you approve.

How your estate cleanout works

  1. Request a free onsite estimate

Book an estimate appointment or text photos of the rooms, storage areas and access for a rough range. Share the property deadline.

  2. Show us what stays and what goes

Have one authorized contact review the included contents. Keep family belongings, documents and sold items separate.

  3. Approve the full scope and price

Review the crew, loads, access and complete price. Larger estates or staged cleanouts receive a work plan around the agreed scope.

  4. Let the crew carry, load and haul

We remove the approved contents and perform a practical sweep-up. Review the cleared areas together, or arrange completion photos in advance.

Your two-hour booking window is an arrival window. The time to finish depends on the contents, access and number of loads.

What to know before we come out

Protect belongings still under review

Set aside photographs, jewelry, documents and medications. Mark belongings reserved for family or buyers, and leave uncertain items outside the removal scope. Update the room list after family collections or an estate sale so the walkthrough reflects what remains.

Show every area and the Portland access

Include basements, attics, garages, sheds and outdoor contents in your photos. Show stairs, narrow entries, long carries and legal loading locations. Share elevator reservations or building-entry rules, plus dates when another person or company needs access.

Review donation and special materials

Usable items may be donated or reused when their condition and receiving-program acceptance allow. Donation cannot be guaranteed. Refrigerant appliances, unusually heavy items, paint, chemicals and other restricted materials need acceptance and handling review before scheduling.

Need a plan for more than hauling?

Common questions

Questions we hear in Portland.

How much does an estate cleanout cost in Portland?

An estate cleanout is priced for the approved contents, labor, access and disposal. Standard household truck-space prices run from a $120 minimum to $995 for one full load. A whole estate may need several loads or separately agreed work; the full-load price is not a whole-house quote. Show every included room, garage and outbuilding during the free walkthrough, then approve the complete project price before work begins.

Can I coordinate an estate cleanout from out of town?

Often. Arrange property entry, one authorized contact and a method for approving the final onsite scope and price. Request completion photos before the visit.

Can removal happen while family decisions are still underway?

Yes. Define the approved rooms or items for each phase, protect the remaining areas and review the cost and timing of each visit.

Can you remove what remains after an estate sale?

Yes. Once the authorized contact identifies what has sold, what family members are keeping and what may be removed, we can estimate the remaining furniture and contents. Donation depends on item condition and facility acceptance.

Is an estate cleanout the same as an estate sale?

No. JunkPDX hauls approved contents. Appraisals, resale, estate-sale management, detailed cleaning and repairs are separate services.
