Describe the complete fixture
Photograph shades, mounting brackets, glass parts and the model label. Count matching pendants or sconces individually. Explain whether it is already detached; a photo of a ceiling fixture does not mean the hauling crew can uninstall it.

Plan qualified electrical work
Use an appropriate electrician for hardwired preparation and the replacement handoff. Do not cut wires to free a fixture for pickup. Keep the building's electrical work separate from a quote to carry away already removed items.

Separate bulbs and specialized components
Identify bulb types and ask the receiving program how it handles them. ReBuilding Center excludes bulbs and fluorescent fixtures. Do not assume a center accepting decorative lighting will also accept every lamp, ballast or tube in the project.

Protect complete reusable pieces
Keep mounting parts labeled with their fixture and describe missing shades or cracked glass. Pack only as the recipient requests. For hauling, show oversized chandeliers and the stair route so the collector can assess awkward shape as well as weight.
