Identify how it is mounted
Say whether the mirror hangs on hooks, rests in a frame, forms a closet door or is glued to a wall. Removal from the building is separate from collecting an already detached object. Do not pry a large glued mirror off the wall yourself.

Document size and damage
Take a photo from a safe position showing the whole mirror and nearby access. Mention cracks, sharp edges and a loose frame. Keep children and pets away from the area; the collector needs to know about breakage before arrival.

Check the appropriate reuse rules
ReBuilding Center distinguishes framed mirrors, smaller unframed mirrors and excluded damaged materials. Send your measurements and mounting details for review. Obtain handling instructions from the receiving site before loading an accepted piece.

Arrange a contained carry
Tell the crew about stair turns and where the truck can park. Do not place loose shards in a bag of ordinary donations. Ask your collector for its packaging instructions and keep mirrors separate from bottles and jars intended for glass recycling.

Does mirror pickup include repairing the wall?
No repair should be assumed. If detachment is requested, agree on that scope first and plan wall repair separately after the mirror is safely removed.
