Arrange the connection work
Plan water-line, drain, vent and electrical preparation with the appropriate installer. A gas dryer needs qualified attention to its gas connection. JunkPDX hauling should not be treated as a utility-disconnection appointment; confirm readiness before pickup.

Account for trapped water
Ask the installer how to drain the washer according to its manual, and keep towels available for residual water. Remove laundry, detergent containers and loose items. Tell the hauler if the machine leaks or cannot be safely moved.

Make the stack and route clear
Do not assume stacked machines can travel as one piece. Explain the stacking arrangement, closet doors, basement stairs and tight corners. Send route photos so the collector can assess the work before you promise a delivery installer an empty room.

Choose transport or a pickup estimate
Use an accepted drop-off only if you have suitable moving help and transport. For JunkPDX paid hauling, photos provide a rough range and the onsite estimate is free. Approve the price before loading; requested Monday–Saturday windows require crew confirmation.
