Can a junk removal appointment replace dishwasher uninstallation?
Plan them as separate tasks unless the provider explicitly agrees otherwise. A built-in dishwasher can have water, drain, electrical and mounting connections. Arrange appropriate uninstallation first, then confirm a pickup for the disconnected appliance.

Empty dishes and cutlery, secure loose racks and ask the installer about residual water. Set aside any manual or fittings a confirmed recipient wants. Keep access clear without leaving sharp panels or loose hoses across the walkway.

Ask a recipient before uninstalling it. Share its model, age if known, condition and missing parts. Do not assume a charity accepts dishwashers or will collect one from inside the kitchen.
Should I leave it beside the curb?
Only use the staging location agreed with your collector. An unconfirmed curbside appliance can obstruct access and still leave you responsible for finding another removal route.
What if my replacement arrives first?
Ask the installer whether the old unit can remain safely on site after disconnection. Book removal with a realistic buffer so one delayed appointment does not derail the other.
