Remove keepsakes before the appointment
Clear dishes, heirlooms, paperwork and items stored in the lower drawers. Keep the contents away from the loading area. An empty display case can still contain lights, keys and loose glass shelves that need to be identified.

Photograph the construction
Show the back, upper-to-lower connection and any wall restraint without moving the cabinet unsafely. Explain whether the top is detachable or appears to be one continuous piece. Do not assume the upper cabinet merely lifts off.

Set a realistic reuse deadline
Community Warehouse excludes hutches and china cabinets. Try another confirmed recipient if preserving the piece is your priority, but set a cutoff before your move. A listing with no committed collector should not hold up the property handoff.

Show glass and the entire carry
Take close-ups of cracked panes, shelves and mirrored backs. Include ceiling clearance, door turns and stairs in the estimate request. Keep wall restraints in place until handling is arranged and ask about any disassembly before attempting it.

No. Size, demand, transport and the receiving organization's decision all matter. Agree on a backup outcome before authorizing removal.
