Inspect the whole chair
Look at the arms, back, seat, wheels and base rather than judging only the upholstery. Record wobbling, torn mesh, missing casters and a seat that will not hold its height. Do not attempt repairs to a pressurized lift cylinder for disposal.

Separate reusable chairs from failures
For an office batch, number each chair and make two lists: possible reuse and removal. Avoid burying a broken chair in a group described as excellent. A receiving organization may want only some models, so confirm the approved count.

Request acceptance before the trip
ReStore considers rolling office chairs subject to review. Send photos of the actual chairs. Keep them dry while waiting and ask whether delivery must be assembled; a box of loose arms and wheels may be much less useful.

Arrange the building handoff
Explain elevators, corridor length and loading restrictions. Chairs can roll unexpectedly on sloped surfaces; let the collector choose safe staging. If you are replacing an office suite, confirm which chairs remain available for staff until the final pickup.
What affects cost

You don’t need to choose a truck size. Show us what goes. We’ll measure the load. Descriptions and photos help us plan, but are not a final quote. Price depends on truck space, weight, access, labor and special disposal. You approve the total before loading.
Ask the recipient with a clear close-up. A usable frame does not guarantee acceptance of damaged upholstery, and repairs may not fit the receiving program.
