What makes sleeper sofa removal different from couch removal?
A sofa bed contains a folding frame and mattress as well as its upholstered shell. Tell the hauler it is a sleeper, even when it looks like an ordinary sofa. The mechanism, additional components and closure condition need review before carrying begins.

Photograph the sofa closed and share its model if known. State whether it has a pull-out mattress, folding back, pop-up trundle or another design. Describe any stuck, bent or partly open mechanism without forcing it into a different position for a better photograph.

Account for the mattress and bedding
Remove bedding and belongings. State whether the sleeper mattress is included so the quote covers both pieces.

Avoid dismantling the moving frame
Folding hardware can shift unexpectedly when tilted or partially unbolted. Do not remove springs, cut through the mechanism or release unfamiliar latches to make the sofa lighter. Ask the crew how it should be secured and whether any preparation needs another professional.

Check clearances with the sofa closed
Measure the outside dimensions in its normal closed position and record protruding legs or arms. Show the doorway, stairs and sharp corridor turns. If the frame cannot close, say so before scheduling; the normal sofa dimensions will not describe the space it needs.

Choose a realistic destination

An individual recipient may still evaluate a usable one, but confirm the exact sofa and transport arrangements. If disposal is needed, describe both the furniture and included mattress when checking a destination.
