Solely Junk LLC · The company behind JunkPDX

Keeping junk removal affordable.

Fuel and dump charges have risen. Our goal stays the same: give you dependable service at a competitive price by making every route, truckload and crew day more efficient.

Why costs are rising

There’s more to a pickup than loading the truck.

The crew drives to your property, carries out your items, loads them and takes the load to an appropriate disposal or recovery facility. Fuel, disposal, labor, insurance and truck upkeep all go into that service.

Higher fuel and dump charges put pressure on junk removal prices. That makes reducing wasted miles, time and trips even more important.

Local disposal charges have increased. Metro’s published garbage rate rose from $162.14 per ton in 2025 to $176.70 per ton on July 1, 2026—about a 9% increase. Those are facility disposal rates; your pickup price also covers the crew, loading and hauling.

Fuel prices fluctuate. On October 5, 2026, EIA’s West Coast average excluding California was $1.134 per gallon higher than a year earlier. That regional comparison is one reason efficient routes matter.

Our goal

Compete through efficiency. Earn your business through value.

Solely Junk’s goal is to be Portland’s most competitive choice for junk removal. We’re focused on improving the whole system—from scheduling to disposal—so less of our operating cost goes toward wasted time and travel.

How we work toward it

Four places to make the operation more efficient.

Less driving between pickups

We group compatible nearby jobs into our arrival windows. Less time crossing town helps control fuel costs and gives the crew more time to handle pickups.

Better use of truck space

We load efficiently and plan around the space and weight of each job. Making good use of each load helps reduce unnecessary trips while staying within safe loading limits.

The right crew and equipment

Our goal is to match the people, truck and trailers to the work. A small pickup and a whole-property cleanout need different plans.

Smoother scheduling and coordination

We keep looking for ways to improve the handoff from booking to pickup to disposal. Reducing avoidable delays helps us manage costs across the whole operation.

What that means for your pickup

A clear price. The work handled for you.

Standard household junk is priced mainly by the truck space it uses. Standard lifting, loading, hauling and disposal are included. Any extra charges for heavy items, difficult access or special disposal are explained in your estimate.

You don’t need to measure the pile or choose a truck size. Show our crew what needs to go. Your onsite estimate is free, with no obligation, and you approve the complete price before loading.

For most pickups, we can haul everything away during the same visit after you approve.
