Junk Removal Insurance in Portland: What to Check

Before hiring a Portland hauling crew, check who will perform the work, ask for current insurance information and agree on the removal scope. Building requirements, insurance documentation and the onsite estimate are separate parts of planning the pickup.

Junk Removal Insurance in Portland: What to Check

Before a crew carries furniture through your Portland home or building, confirm the company performing the work, the approved removal list and any insurance documents your property requires. A review or an “insured” label does not establish the details of a current policy.

Check the company and current documentation

Ask for the business name and current insurance information before work begins. Tell the company whether the pickup involves stairs, an elevator, difficult access, dismantling or a commercial property. If another company will perform part of the job, ask which business is responsible for that work and its documentation.

JunkPDX is operated by Solely Junk LLC. Our company and crew information explains the brand connection; it is separate from proof of current coverage. Send document requests and the planned work through JunkPDX contact so they can be reviewed before the appointment.

A certificate is information, not a new policy

The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation explains that a certificate reports insurance information and does not add to or change the policy. Ask the issuing insurance professional about coverage questions or a building's requested endorsements. A certificate alone does not establish that every incident or service is covered.

Share building requirements before booking the work

For an apartment, office or managed property, obtain the building's vendor requirements and permitted loading hours in advance. Include the property contact, elevator reservation and requested documents. Our apartment access checklist and office furniture removal service help you describe the pickup.

Agree on the removal scope and price

Mark what stays, show the complete carry route and identify heavy or restricted items before loading. JunkPDX provides a free, no-obligation onsite estimate. You approve the complete price before removal; photos support a preliminary range. See Portland junk removal prices and how the estimate is approved.

Review moving help separately

Hauling unwanted items and transporting belongings you keep are different scopes. JunkPDX's moving labor service is labor only: you provide and drive the vehicle, and cargo insurance is not included. Review that service's terms before arranging help.
