What will couch removal cost?

Most couch pickups stay within $120–$175. Here’s how: we combine nearby pickups on our routes and make good use of truck space. You pay for the space your couch takes up, with lifting, loading, hauling and standard disposal included in the approved quote.

A large sectional, heavy sleeper sofa, stairs, a long carry or extra disassembly can cost more. Text photos of the couch and its exit route for a rough range. We confirm the full price at your free onsite estimate, and you approve it before loading.

Leave your couch where it is. Our crew reviews the exit route and handles the approved carrying, loading and haul-away. Stairs, elevators, tight doorways and long carries are included in the onsite assessment.

Sectionals, sleepers and recliners

A sectional can have several pieces, and sleeper or reclining mechanisms add weight. We check the complete sofa, any disassembly and the crew needed before agreeing on the price. Photos help us prepare; they do not replace the onsite quote.

More than a couch can go in the same pickup

Our Portland furniture removal service can quote your sofa together with dressers, tables, mattresses and other approved pieces. The price reflects the combined truck space and handling, rather than a separate visit for each item.

Donation depends on the couch’s condition

Usable furniture may be considered for donation or reuse when a receiving organization accepts it. Damaged or contaminated upholstery may need another disposal route. Keep it dry and tell us about moisture, pests, needles or bodily fluids before pickup. JunkPDX provides paid hauling, with a free estimate.

Make room before the replacement arrives

Check whether your retailer includes old-couch haul-away and which pieces it covers. If you need a separate pickup, share the delivery date and the time the room must be clear. Our two-hour window describes arrival, not when loading will finish. Leave a buffer for removal and cleaning, and confirm any elevator or loading-space reservations with the building.

Count sectional pieces and flag sleeper or reclining mechanisms. Show the route to the truck and disclose moisture, pests or contamination. Agreed disassembly may be possible; changes to doors, railings or other property are not included.

Usually. These pieces can be unusually heavy, so send photos and access details before the appointment.

Can you take a couch and mattress in one pickup?

Yes. Include both in the same estimate, along with any other unwanted furniture. We price the combined truck space and handling, so you can approve one complete pickup price.

Can you remove just one piece of my sectional?

You can request removal of selected modules. Mark which pieces leave and which stay, and send photos of the connectors and any powered seats. The crew reviews whether the pieces can separate safely without affecting the furniture you keep.

What should I do before my couch pickup?

Remove personal belongings and mark any cushions, ottomans or matching pieces that should stay. Clear the path to the exit and tell us about building access, elevator reservations and parking. Leave the couch where it is rather than moving it down stairs or attempting difficult disassembly yourself.

Can I leave my couch outside before pickup?

Keep it dry and sheltered while you wait. Curbside pickup is an option when approved, but rain or moisture can change the disposal options and handling. If the couch gets wet or its condition changes after you send photos, tell the crew before the appointment.

Can you pick up a couch with bedbugs or other contamination?

Disclose suspected pests, needles, bodily fluids or other contamination before booking, and send details for review. The crew must confirm whether the item can be accepted and what handling is needed. A standard online appointment does not by itself approve a contaminated item.

Will my usable couch be donated?

Donation is possible only when a receiving organization accepts the couch. Its condition, size and current receiving requirements matter, so donation is not guaranteed. JunkPDX provides paid pickup; if you want independent free donation collection, arrange and confirm it directly with the organization.

Same-day appointments are often available Monday–Saturday. Enter your ZIP and service online to check open two-hour arrival windows, then finish booking and check your receipt. A confirmed standard booking reserves the estimate appointment; requests marked for review need crew confirmation. We are closed Sundays. Share a replacement-delivery deadline before relying on same-day removal.
