The right appliance disposal option depends on three things: whether it works, whether someone will accept it and who can move it. If a retailer is delivering a replacement, ask about old-appliance haul-away first. If you need an unwanted appliance carried out without buying a replacement, JunkPDX provides paid lifting, loading and hauling after a free, no-obligation onsite estimate.

Retailer haul-awayYou are buying a replacement and want coordinated delivery.Whether the old unit qualifies, the total charge, required disconnection and whether the crew removes it from its current location.
Donation or reuseThe appliance works and a recipient has agreed to accept it.Model, condition, size, pickup arrangements and who disconnects and moves it. Do not assume a charity accepts every working appliance.
Recycling or drop-offYou can safely arrange loading, transport and unloading. The exact appliance, refrigerant status, current acceptance rules, hours and charges with the receiving facility.
JunkPDX pickupYou want an approved appliance carried out and hauled away, alone or with other junk.Preparation, access and special disposal. Utilities must be safely disconnected before pickup; approve the full onsite price before loading.

Use the local recycling resource guide for drop-off research, or the pickup preparation checklist once you have chosen hauling.

What does a JunkPDX appliance pickup cost?

Our standard pickup minimum is $120. That is a starting minimum, not a fixed price for every appliance. Truck space, weight, stairs, carrying distance and special disposal can increase the total. Refrigerators, freezers and A/C units need refrigerant-disposal review. Standard lifting, loading, hauling and disposal are included in the approved scope; we explain any added charges before you decide.

For several appliances or a larger garage cleanup, show us the complete load rather than pricing each item in isolation. See all standard load prices and real truck photos. Photos can support a rough range; the free onsite estimate confirms the price.

Can you pick it up during the estimate visit?

For standard appliance removal, the crew can haul it away during the visit once it is ready and you approve the price. Large, connected or unusual equipment may need advance review and a separate work plan. Pickups run Monday–Saturday, with same-day service often available. Choose an available two-hour arrival window; it describes arrival, not the time needed to finish the job.

Is pickup available in Canby, Woodburn or Wilsonville?

JunkPDX serves the Portland metro and Vancouver, WA, including Canby, Woodburn, Wilsonville, Aurora and nearby towns. Enter your ZIP to check estimate times. For rural addresses, include gates, driveway access and the distance from the appliance to legal truck parking. The address, equipment and schedule determine availability.

Show us the appliance and the way out

Send a full view of each unit, its model label when accessible, and photos of stairs, narrow turns and the loading area. Tell us whether it is freestanding, mounted or built in, and whether disconnection is complete. You can leave heavy items in place for our crew to carry; arrange utility work separately with the appropriate qualified person.

See appliance removal and preparation by type, then book a free estimate. No obligation to proceed after seeing the price.
