Close the sale before making the removal list
A garage sale can end with three different groups: sold pieces awaiting collection, belongings you still want and unsold items you are ready to clear. Keep those groups separate. A sofa with a buyer's name on it should not sit in the same removal area as furniture approved for hauling.
For a sale at a Canby or Woodburn home, walk the space once the last customers have left. Collect money, personal papers, small valuables and borrowed tables before sorting the leftovers. Mark anything undecided to stay, and tell the crew which garage areas are outside the pickup scope.
- Label sold items with the agreed collection details.
- Move keep items and undecided boxes out of the removal area.
- Separate borrowed sale tables, signs and display equipment.
Confirm the last buyer and donation collections
Agree on a collection deadline with buyers who have not picked up their purchases. Confirm any donation acceptance and collection arrangements before relying on them. An item being offered for free is still at your property until someone actually takes it.
Protect usable furniture from weather while those plans are pending. If a collection falls through, update the removal list instead of assuming the original estimate already includes that piece. Donation is a separate confirmed arrangement; hauling does not guarantee that every unsold item will be donated.
Photograph what remains, including the small items
Take new photos after buyer and donation collections are finished. Show the complete remaining furniture, boxes, bags and loose contents. The inventory from the start of the sale may be much larger than the load you now want removed, so current photos are more useful.
Describe what is inside boxes and bags rather than treating every container as ordinary household junk. Set aside paint, chemicals, batteries and unidentified containers for acceptance review. If you also want broken shelving or stored garage contents removed, show those separately so the complete job is clear.

Plan for the space you want back
Decide whether you need one parking bay, the sale area or the whole garage cleared. Leave bulky pieces in place and show the doorway, driveway and route to truck parking. Identify shelving that stays and anything attached to a wall; agreed dismantling needs its own review.
Nearby pickups in Hubbard, Gervais and Barlow follow the same planning steps. Use your property's actual address and ZIP when checking coverage. For a rural entrance or long carry, share the driveway and gate details rather than substituting an address in a nearby town center.

Approve the leftovers and price together
At the free, no-obligation onsite estimate, walk through the remaining items with the crew and confirm which marked belongings stay. JunkPDX reviews the carrying, loading, hauling and disposal needs before you approve the complete price. If another piece leaves before loading, have the actual scope reviewed again.
Choose an available Monday–Saturday two-hour arrival window and share any deadline for using the garage again. That window describes arrival, not a guaranteed completion time. Allow time after removal to check the cleared area and arrange any cleaning beyond the agreed practical sweep-up.
