Junk Pickup at a Home and Storage Unit: Plan Both Addresses

Plan junk removal at a home and storage unit near Canby, Woodburn or Wilsonville. Share both addresses, item lists and access hours for a crew review.

Make a separate removal list for each address

Clearing a home and an offsite storage unit creates two pickup locations, even when everything belongs to the same household. Write the actual street address, ZIP, unit number and onsite contact for each. List unwanted furniture, boxes and loose contents under the location where they are now.

For a home in Canby, Woodburn or Wilsonville, check the storage address separately rather than assuming it shares the home's coverage or available times. This also applies around Aurora, Hubbard and Donald. Belongings you want moved between locations need a separate moving-labor review; keep them off the disposal list. You provide and drive the vehicle for belongings you are keeping, or arrange container transport.

Photograph both loads and label the locations

Take current photos of each removal area, including contents hidden behind the first row of boxes. Label the photos home or storage and include the matching address. Count repeated items and identify heavy pieces separately so one pile does not accidentally stand in for the whole project.

Mark belongings that stay at both locations. Describe what's inside bags and containers, and identify materials needing acceptance review. A photo of the storage doorway helps with access planning but does not replace photos of the contents.

Review accepted items and restrictions

Check access hours at both stops

Give the crew the storage facility's permitted access hours, gate instructions and loading rules. Show stairs, elevators and the carry to the truck. Arrange a contact who can open the unit and confirm what leaves; do the same for the home.

Share any deadline for movers, a property handoff or closing the storage account. A Monday–Saturday two-hour arrival window describes arrival, not the time needed to complete two stops. Different access hours may make separate visits more practical.

  • Identify who opens each location and approves the removal list.
  • Share gate, elevator and truck-parking restrictions.
  • Keep access instructions available to the agreed onsite contacts.

Use the storage-unit preparation checklist

Have both locations reviewed before combining the job

A booking for one address does not automatically include a second stop. Send both addresses, photos, item lists and access hours together. The crew needs to confirm coverage, route, capacity and scheduling before treating them as one project.

Photos can support a rough price range. At the free, no-obligation onsite estimate, confirm the scope and complete price before loading. Ask how each location and any additional loads are included; one full-load price does not establish the cost of a larger project.

Check each space before closing the project

At each stop, review the agreed removal area with the onsite contact and confirm that retained belongings remain. Tell the crew about any added items before they are loaded so the scope and price can be reviewed.

Follow your storage facility's own move-out instructions and arrange account closure yourself. Keep any required completion photos or paperwork. Clearing the approved contents does not automatically close a storage account or complete unrelated cleaning and repairs.
